Features
Protection
- 2 millisecond fuses are standard with every SENTROL-EM3.
- Vbo clamping, integral to the power circuit design, provides transient voltage surge protection for the semiconductors.
- Natural convection cooling of the integral heatsink chassis allows a 50 °C operating temperature rating at full load without fans or thermal derating.
- Standard duty units use Class 10 overload relays; high inrush units come standard with a Class 20 overload relay.

- Operates from any control input from 95 to 220 VAC, or in line with an existing across-the-line starter.
- Adjustable starting torque.
- Adjustable acceleration time.
- Adjustable deceleration time.
- LED status indicators.
- VISI-RAMP output indicator (standard on 150 HP and larger).
Control outputs
- Seal contact and end-of-ramp auxiliary contacts standard on all units.
Cost effective

Notes
- kW ratings are calculated for 230 V starters at 230 VAC, and for 460 V starters at 380 VAC.
- For 25 HP, 208 VAC motors, use the “High Inrush” starter only.
- For use on 380/415 VAC, must specify on order: specify “-3-” and use “-4-” prices and dimensions.
- For a high inrush rating, add the suffix “H” to the model number. Example: for a 460 VAC, 100 HP starter with high inrush rating, the correct model number is 18EM3-4-100HP3H.
